Government is committed for improving the quality of life of people living in the Rural areas through its various rural development and poverty alleviation programme. In the district following schemes are implementing for improvement in BPL families. 

Swarnjayanti Gram Sawarozgar Yojana(SGSY)   

SGSY is conceived as a holistic programme of micro-enterprises covering all aspects of self employment viz. organisation of the rural poor into Self Help Groups (SHG's) and their capacity building. Planning of activity clusters, infrastructure build-up technology, credit and marketing. 

SGSY is a credit-cum-subsidy programme Credit will be the critical component in SGSY subsidy being only on enabling element. Accordingly SGSY envisages a greater involvement of the bank in the planning and preparation of project identification of activity clusters, infrastructure planning as well as capacity building and choice of activity of the SHGs.selection of Individual Sawarozgaries per credit activities and post credit monitoring including loan recovery. SGSY seeks to promote multiple credit rather than a one five credit injection. The credit requirment of the Sawarozgaria will be carefully assessed and they will be encouraged to increase their credit intake over the year.

Sampooran Gramin Rozgar Yojana (SGRY)

The main object of SGRY is to provide additional wage employment in rural areas as also food security, along with the creation of durable community, social and economic assets and infrastructure development in these areas. The programme is self targeting in nature and would be available for all the rural poor (BPL/APL) who have need for wage employment  andf are willing to take up mainly unshifted  work. The priority would be given to provide wages employment to the poorest among the poor women,  SC/ST on priority basis and protect of child labour from wage employment.

Indira Awas Yojana (IAY)

In rural areas house is essential for poor people in the village. The main object of IAY is to help BPL family mainly SC/ST for construction fo house in the rural areas the targeted group heaving the following conditions.

1-    Any person living in village and not received assistance from any housing scheme. 

2-    The maximum assistance in this scheme is Rs. 20000/-.
